Raccoonbox designed the Armas web application for Autopesu-Center. This web app enables an easy way to make business updates aimed at consumers. The goal of the project was to create a visually suitable and easy-to-use product for the existing website. The goal was met perfectly.

Autopesu-Center is a leading car wash business in the capital region, Finland. Autopesu-Center washes tens of thousands of cars every year in its three car wash centres. Raccoonbox and Autopesu-Center have been in a business relationship since 2014. Over ten years of partnership shows strong trust.

Best features of Armas

  1. User-friendly interface: The Armas control panel is designed to be so simple that the average user can update notifications without instructions. This shows good design when the product is intuitive to use without external documentation.
  2. Intelligent image processing: Raccoonbox implemented an advanced image processing system for Armas, which automatically optimises uploaded images for online use. The system ensures fast web page loading times while maintaining image quality regardless of the size or format of the original file. When designing websites and web applications, intelligent image processing is a must! Due to search engine optimization, the images displayed on the website must be light and optimized.

    The above-mentioned system would not be needed if the phone's camera captured light images directly. However, this does not happen, the photos are huge and heavy to download. The code of Armas' image processing system has been implemented so that the user does not need to know or care about the size of the image or whether it is suitable for the web. This practice continues Armas' ideology of ease of use.
  3. Seamless integration: Armas is designed to integrate perfectly with Autopesu-Center's existing autopesucenter.fi website, maintaining brand consistency, design, colour and user experience.

The set goals were met

The initial goals of the project Armas were successfully achieved. The functionality of Armas corresponds to what was promised to the customer, and visually Armas is very close to the design approved during planning.

The Armas notification box, simple notification management, clever features like automated image optimisation, and user-friendly design are what make the Armas web app design good. Although the exact placement of the Armas box is slightly different from the original visual plan, I consider the project a complete success. Especially when the project was completed within the promised schedule and budget.

Conclusion

The Armas project demonstrates Raccoonbox's ability to deliver high-quality and customized web applications.
